Tonia Mishiali’s passion for photography started in 1994 when she attended a course in Black and White Photography in Oxford UK.  This passion stayed on and she has been taking pictures ever since.  Her first photos were taken on film and developed by herself in the darkroom and as the years passed she moved on to work with a digital camera.

“Only one in colour” (2010) was her first attempt to individually exhibit her photographic work, an exhibition which consisted of one colour and a selection of black and white photographs that she took over a period of 16 years; those photos were a journey through time, a journey that marked moments in her life. She exhibited her work in June 2010 at Estia Theatre Centre in Nicosia-Cyprus.
